Zeina is a mixed media and multimedia artist. Her work is figurative/representational, symbolic, and at times socio-political. For the most part, Zeina’s work is a reflection of her life’s journey and the things that inspire her. It is her intention to represent how spirituality is manifested in everyday activities such as working, dancing, fishing, eating, and gardening/landscaping, seeing the world and living beyond the imposed construct of being a person of color, etc.

As an artist, Zeina is drawn to the life force of water, and various other elements in nature, and how they relate and interrelate with the human form. Her interests extend further into the ways in which humanity observes and interacts with the environment, and how spirituality manifests itself in our expressions and gestures.

It is her intention to translate with oil paint and other materials the intensity of spirit that is prevalent in everyday activities. Zeina uses mixed media including but not limited to oil, acrylic, watercolor paints, oil pastels, pastel chalk, collage materials, movement explorations, music, etc. to explore patterns, shapes, color and textural variance in her abstract and figurative work.

It is Zeina’s intention to leave a lasting impression of how spiritually intense everyday acts of appreciation can be.
