Ponch Gailliard is a native OF Detroit. He attended Cass Technical High School. Although he was born with the gift and is self taught, he studied art at the Center of Creative Studies in Detroit. Ponch has shared his talents by tutoring children of all ages throughout Metropolitan Detroit.

Ponch’s passion is mainly prophetic art as well as objective and nonobjective abstracts. His work is everywhere in a wide variety of mediums, you name it, water colors, oil, charcoal, pen and ink. Ponch creates indoor and outdoor environmental art that promotes spiritual healing needed for the body and soul of mankind. Ponch”s artist ability is a gift from God that is shared by others through his works.

Ponch is the oldest of eight children and was encouraged artistry by his parents, friends and relatives. It was after the death of his beloved mother, who died in January 2007, that Ponch’s passion for art increased spiritually to express life through his God given gifts.

Ponch is currently the resident artist at Sherwood Forest Art Gallery in Detroit Michigan. His art work is also on display at the gallery.
